Houston, I heart thee

March 17, 2013 § 1 Comment

I went to Houston for work with a colleague last weekend, to check out the city and some of the hotels there. We only had about three days, but what an awesome three days it was.
We stayed at the Sorella City Centre, which was awesome. It’s a great area with some nice stores and restaurants. We spent all of the day on Friday looking at hotels, but in the evening we had the greates time ever, as we attended the rodeo (Houston Livestock show and rodeo). We didn’t even know about it, but everyone we met told us we HAD TO get to the rodeo. We decided that we needed to do it, and we didn’t regret it for a second. We had only just arrived there before we were already talking about how we needed to come back next year to just spend days and days at the rodeo.
We got to see Tim McGraw perform, and then we ate junk-food and wandered around the big carnival right outside Reliant Park. Cowboyhats and boots everywhere, I LOVED it šŸ˜€

The rest of the weekend we did a lot of shopping, and we were very unhappy we had to go back home on Sunday. Houston, we will be back someday šŸ˜‰
